Students finish DARE

Fifth-grade students at Lyman Hall Elementary recently participated in the eighteenth annual DARE culmination ceremony.
One of the requirements for graduation was to complete an essay that reflected what each student learned from the 12-week program. Officer Mike Shaver, DARE instructor, presented four fifth-graders medals for having the winning essays from each fifth-grade classroom. Out of the four essays, Jarvis Payton’s was the overall winner.
The participants are now armed with the tools they’ll need to resist the pressures of drugs and alcohol.
