Lewis Frasier Middle School National Junior Honor Society adviser Jereice Campbell presented a $1,500 check to the Wreaths for Warriors Walk committee on Nov. 2. The wreaths purchased with the money will be among those placed at the base of 436 eastern redbud trees at Fort Stewart’s Warriors Walk during a ceremony at noon on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Warriors Walk honors the soldiers assigned or attached to the 3rd Infantry Division who have given their lives in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan.
As a result of the fundraiser, the honor society students raised more than $500 for their organization. Organizations who are interested in conducting a fundraiser for Wreaths for Warriors Walk should send an e-mail to wreaths4warriorswalk@yahoo.com.
