MOUNT VERNON —  Phylicia Fauntleroy of Hinesville qualified for the dean’s list at Brewton-Parker College of Mount Vernon for the summer
2015 semester.

Qualifying students were enrolled in 12 or more hours and earned a grade-point average of 3.6 or better.

Johnson receives Darton State scholarship

ALBANY — Darton State College Foundation has released its scholarship recipients. A total of 91 students, including Taylor Johnson from Hinesville, were presented with scholarship certificates from Dr. Paul Jones, the college’s interim president, and Chris Cohilas, the chairman of the foundation board.

Johnson received the James M. Barnett Jr. Scholarship.

Each scholarship has its own requirements. Scholarships are provided by donors or raised through various fundraising opportunities.

Steinbring graduates from Troy

TROY, Ala. — Nicole Steinbring of Ludowici has graduated from Troy University during the summer semester/Term 5 of the 2014-15 academic year.

Steinbring attended the university’s Global Campus and graduated with the Bachelor of Science from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Summer-semester graduates include students at Troy’s campus in Troy, Alabama. Term 5 graduates include students at campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Alabama, and Global Campus, which consists of teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.
