Dianna Marie Jimenez of Hinesville recently was accepted into Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization at Georgia Southern University.
Jimenez, a college sophomore, graduated from Liberty County High School in May 2010.
She is the daughter of Chris and Juanita Jimenez of Hinesville.
Sigma Alpha Lambda is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment.

Victoria named to dean’s list

NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Carrie Victoria of Allenhurst recently was named to the spring dean’s list at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y.
Dean’s list distinction is awarded each semester to students who have carried at least 12 graded credits with a minimum semester GPA of 3.5 in the graded courses.
