Long County High School students Daniel Quintero and Haylee Collins have gotten artwork into the 2016 U.S Congressional Juried High School Art Exhibition at Armstrong State University.

There were 186 entries into the show, and 65 student works accepted. Works accepted are eligible for a number of cash awards, as well as the U.S. District Congressional Award.

The annual competition is an opportunity in which members of Congress are able to showcase the talents of high school students in their districts, thereby acknowledging the nation’s gifted young artists.

The Long County artists will hold a public art show at 7 p.m. April 19 in Coastal Manor Nursing Home.
