ATHENS — Nearly 1,500 students will be eligible to receive degrees when the University of Georgia holds its summer commencement.
The ceremony is set for Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Stegeman Coliseum.
Pat Mitchell, president and chief executive officer of the Paley Center for Media and a magna cum laude graduate of UGA, will be the speaker for the Commencement ceremony. Mitchell holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from UGA.
