Walker Middle School students recently celebrated reading with a “snow day.” The students were challenged to read and earn 5,000 Accelerated Reader points by the end of the school year. They earned 7,900 points by the end of the second nine-weeks period. As the highlight of the event, the principals and top reading teachers had snowballs thrown at them by the top readers.
