WPE first graders do drama
ap WPE program31
First grade students at Waldo Pafford Elementary School sang a different version of the childhood song, "Old MacDonald" during an assembly Jan. 31 called 'E-I-E-I Oops!'
The five classes combined to represent a barnyard gang, wearing paper masks resembling farm animals.
The dramatics of the musical play centered on "the cow that didn't moo."
Parents and teachers listened as Melanie Swoboda, WPE music teacher, led the classes in songs between stage performances.
The play concluded when the mute cow dilemma was solved, with help from the animals singing songs such as 'Ham it up,' from the pigs and 'Cute chicks,' paraded by the roosters.
