The Bert Show, a syndicated morning radio show broadcast daily on more than a dozen stations, is collecting letters of thanks so every soldier stationed or deployed outside the United States can receive an expression of gratitude on Thanksgiving. Waldo Pafford Elementary students wrote about 450 thank-you letters to contribute to the collection. WPE school counselor Tia Kittles said she was pleased with the students’ effort.
“We wanted to give our troops a big thank you with a little taste of home this Thanksgiving,” she said.
She added that the faculty, staff and students at Waldo Pafford Elementary wish all soldiers in the surrounding areas a happy Thanksgiving.
