SAVANNAH — Junior Achievement of Georgia-Coastal Region will honor the 14th annual Savannah Business Hall of Fame inductees and the 2013 Educator of the Year, Denise Fisher of Fort Stewart’s Youth ChalleNGe Academy, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
Fisher has coordinated JA programs for several years at Youth ChalleNGe Academy, leading thousands of at-risk students to completing their education.
“These honorees are the backbone of Junior Achievement,” said Johnathon Barrett, vice president of JA of Georgia. “We wouldn’t be able to impact more than 14,000 students this year without the support of our biggest advocates, who continue to go above and beyond to serve the students in our area.”
The event will begin with a cocktail reception, featuring a silent auction. A three-course dinner and the awards ceremony will follow, featuring video montages. The evening will culminate with a champagne toast to the honorees. More than 500 guests are slated to attend the event.
Sponsorship and tickets are available for the Savannah Business Hall of Fame. For information, call 912-790-7822 or email jbarrett@georgia.ja.org.
