The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 2017-2018 Young Adult Liberty Leaders (YALL) class had its public education session on Jan. 25, hosted by the Liberty County School System.

Student leaders were able to gain insights into preparing to apply for Federal Student Aid for college, as well as receive a complete overview of the Liberty County School System and the programs that will benefit them in pursuing their academic goals.

The class received a tour of the Board of Education building and also learned about self-care, managing stress and effective communication.

YALL is an intense nine-month class in which class participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community, including county government, city government, public health, public education, tourism, economic development and more.
