A Tuesday afternoon fire in the 800 block of Live Oak Church Road damaged a Liberty County home. The fire was reported around noon according to Liberty County Fire Services Chief Brian Darby. 

Darby said the fire appeared to have started from debris located at the front of the residence and the blaze is currently under investigation by detectives from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office as to how it started. 

The damage was contained to the exterior of the residence. Two adults and two children were temporarily displaced.
