Three adults were displaced Friday night after a fire on Seminole Drive in Hinesville damaged their home.
The home located in the 1500 block of Seminole Drive sustained heavy damage when fire spread quickly through the back of the single story house shortly before 4:30 p.m.
When the Hinesville Fire Department arrived they encountered heavy smoke pouring from the back and attic of the home. Flames could be seen shooting from a back extension to the home. No injuries have been reported.
The family was able to exit the home, according to police who arrived with minutes after the call went out over the air. It was reported that the owner entered the heavy smoke filled home to rescue his dog who was locked inside of a cage.
