The Village Children’s Learning Center staff and students paraded down Frank Cochran Tuesday to display their patriotism and national pride. They chanted “USA, USA,” as they walked the route and people honked their horns in appreciation. The parade was led by Elijah Miller, 11, who said he felt good to have the honor of leading the parade and carrying the American Flag. This is the fifth year the center has hosted a parade for the Fourth of July. Director Fay Terry hopes the tradition instills an appreciation of the liberties the nation offers individuals, and a joy of spreading patriotism and support for the troops.
