The Richmond Hill Garden Club has selected the home of Karen and Fred Gassaway at 669 Strathy Hall Dr. in the Strathy Hall subdivision as the Yard of the Month of September. 

Over the past 13 years, the couple has created a stunning display of azaleas, gardenias, and holly to showcase their home. The property and southern-style home show a slice of the history of Strathy Hall Plantation with its 200-year-old live oaks, which lead to the Ogeechee River in their side yard. 

Along with the award, the Gassaways received a gift certificate to Tim and Dave's Nursery in Richmond Hill. (Photos provided)
