Health department, Fort Stewart WIC clinic modify hours
New schedule to better serve clients

The hours of operation at the Liberty County Health Department and Fort Stewart Women, Infant and Children (WIC) clinic will change slightly beginning July 1 to make it more convenient for clients to come in for services.

The health department, 1113 E Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville, hours of operation will be:

·         8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

·         8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday

·         8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday

 

The new Fort Stewart WIC clinic, 441 W. Bultman Ave. on Fort Stewart, hours will be:

·         7: 30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

·         7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday

·         7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday

 

Health department services include child and adult immunizations, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, family planning services, child health services, breast and cervical cancer program (BCCP) and more.

WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition education and improved healthcare access for low- and moderate-income women and children who are at risk of developing nutrition related health problems.
