A Hinesville man and women were killed early Friday morning when a fire burned their mobile home.

The fire occurred in the 1100 block of Kelly Drive, in the Happy Acres Mobile Home Park in Hinesville, said Hinesville Fire Chief Lamar Cook.

Cook said firefighters responded to the fire at about 12:15 Friday. When they arrived, flames were coming from the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished. Upon entering the mobile home, firefighters found the bodies of a man and woman in a rear bedroom.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

According to Liberty County Coroner Reginald Pierce, the bodies will be taken to the GBI crime lab in Savannah, where an autopsy will be conducted Monday.
