Hinesville pageant set for Nov.

The Miss Hinesville and Jr. Miss Hinesville Pageant is planned for 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Brewton-Parker College.
Hinesville Downtown Business Association is sponsoring the event.
Area young ladies, ages 16-23, will compete for the titles of Miss Hinesville, ages 13-15 Jr. Miss Hinesville and Miss Hinesville Hospitality 2008. It is open to girls who reside, work, or go to school in Liberty County. Competition will include: evening gown, casual wear and on-stage question for all contestants. Miss Hinesville contestants will also be competing in platform and interview earlier in the day. In addition to the beauty titles, contestants may compete for the title of Miss Hospitality Hinesville. This title is open to both Jr. Miss and Miss contestants. The title will be awarded to the contestant who sells the most good luck ads. Proceeds from ads go into the scholarship fund from which the Miss Hinesville winner receives a $1,000 scholarship and Jr. Miss Hinesville receives a $500 savings bond. A People’s Choice award is given to the contestant who receives the most votes at the pageant. Votes are $1 each.
Returning to crown the new queens this year are reigning queens, Chantal Smith, Miss Hinesville, Sarah Ballance, Jr. Miss Hinesville and Alyssa Alamo, Miss Hospitality Hinesville 2007.Admission is $5.
The Little Miss Hinesville Pageant will take place at 10 a.m. Young ladies, ages birth through 15 years, will compete in areas of beauty, photogenic, prettiest dress and People’s Choice.
One grand supreme, two mini supremes, one overall most beautiful and seven beauty titles will be awarded. Admission is $5.
Entries are available at Rita’s Bridal and formal Shop, 131 S. Main St., downtown Hinesville.
