The Hinesville Police Department has partnered with the Liberty Regional Homeless Coalition and Project Linus to keep the homeless warm this winter according to Community Resource Cpl. Remillard.

“While everyone is preoccupied with toys and gifts during the holiday season some may only dream of a blanket to stay warm,” Remillard said. “And that’s where our focus is this holiday season.”

All officers at the HPD have been given access to the donated blankets to give those in need while supplies last. If you would like to volunteer for Project Linus or find your local chapter please go to www.projectlinus.org or call 309-585-0686.
