UPDATED 11/28/2019 to address change in agenda items.

The Hinesville Youth Council, a new initiative in the city of Hinesville, will host their first public meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m., according to a press release from the city. 

The release said items of note on the Council’s agenda are: 

An introduction of members and an update of Council activity since taking office in September as well as taking comments from Hinesville youth. 

The Hinesville Youth Council is made up of 8 Hinesville area youth from Bradwell Institute, First Presbyterian Christian Academy, Horizons Learning Center and Liberty County High School. 

These students were elected through an application and interview process to represent Hinesville youth to the community at-large. During their first meeting, the group voted in a Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk.
