The Hinesville Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Oct. 8. According to the police report, a woman was asleep in her home when she was awakened and saw an intruder in her living room. A fight ensued and the woman was able to grab a knife and stab the suspect. The suspect then fled the home with the knife still lodged in his side. The HPD is coordinating with local medical providers to see if the suspect sought treatment. If you have any information on this crime please contact the HPD at 912-368-8211.
