The line to enter the church stretched out into the parking lot and great anticipation filled the air as individuals spoke about getting inside to get a good seat. There were also conversations as to whether or not an artist of his stature would come to Hinesville, but as the sponsor of the event arrived to reassure the waiting crowd that he was indeed on the way and thanked them for coming and supporting the efforts the HOPE for the Homeless Musical.

With a musical career in gospel music that spans 40 plus years and being a living legend in the gospel music industry….Pastor John P. Kee and the New Life singers, musicians and sound technicians converged upon the Coastal Empire all the way from Charlotte, N.C. He stated in a radio interview prior to the musical, with Gospel 94.9 FM that he was coming to support the vision of Another Chance Outreach Ministries, Inc. (ACOM) and to bring a greater awareness to the plight of homelessness in this region. HOPE for the Homeless Musical was a joint effort of various local businesses, Pastors and like-minded individuals to bring a ray of hope into oftentimes hopeless situations.

Pastor Kee was accompanied by an aggregation of talented and anointed singers called New Life. Minister Zacardi Cortez, who is featured on Pastor Kee’s latest project entitled “I Made It Out”, came all the way from Houston, TX for the HOPE for the Homeless Musical. The New Life singers and Pastor Kee’s skillful musicians pulled from their repertoire of songs from the 80’s to the present. This Grammy nominated, Multi-Stellar Gospel Music Award winner, Multi-Billboard Gospel Music Award winner sang songs for every age group in the audience. He paused several times in his musical presentation to acknowledge the work being done in the community by the primary sponsors of the musical. Pastor Kee shared with the audience and was very transparent concerning his negative past prior to God giving him a new life with a message to sing about.
