Junior Ranger Camp is in June at King George historic site

The annual Your State Parks Day will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fort King George State Historic Site, 302 McIntosh Road SE in Darien.

Kids can earn a junior range badge during the Junior Ranger Camp, themed “Beneath the Surface,” which will be held from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6, and from Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June 20, at Fort King George State Historic Site, 302 McIntosh Road, S.E., in Darien, Ga.

The cost is $75 for early registration, $80 for late registration. Camp 1 early registration ends June 1; Camp 2 early registration ends June 15.

The week will be filled with rich history, outdoor studies and activities, craft projects, and team building. This year’s theme centers around the worlds hidden beneath our soils and waters.
