Liberty BoE slices millage rate a fraction

The Liberty County Board of Education on Tuesday tentatively decided to leave the 2011 fiscal year millage rate virtually unchanged, which means taxpayers will see little difference in their property tax bills.
During an initial discussion with financial advisers and after making necessary cuts, school district officials recommend a millage rate of 15.5, Assistant Superintendent Jason Rogers said. The 2010 millage rate is 15.6.
