Liberty Chamber holds Oct. 14, ribbon cut for Dawson’s Gen. Store

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Friday, October 14 for Dawson’s General Store at 5782 W Oglethorpe Hwy Suite B, in Walthourville.

 Chamber/CVB CEO, Leah Poole, welcomed those in attendance and congratulated Julie and Jeff Dawson on their new business. Poole also introduced Kathy Villafane the Chairman of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Board who offered her congratulations and support for the new business. Julie thanked her staff and all in attendance and expressed her gratitude for the support she has received from the Chamber and the community. 

The Dawson’s are also the proud owners of the adjoining Bootleggers Package Store that boasts a vast selection. 

Dawson’s General Store is a family business located in Walthourville providing the community with all of the basic necessities for backyard farming. 

Established in 1976, the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to support new and existing business, trade and industry within Liberty County, while increasing the cultural, civic, educational and overall quality of life of its citizens. 

The Chamber and its’ 500 members are committed to enhancing the local business climate and maintaining a high quality of life in the community.
