Liberty Co. deputies recognized for service

The Liberty County Sheriff ’s Office recognized some of its bravest men and women on the force this past Friday at the Liberty County Justice Center.

LCSO Chief Max Brown as well as Sheriff William Bowman were on hand to acknowledge the officers for displaying selfless acts of courage and bravery in the line of duty. The officers who were awarded citations included: Sergeant Anthony Galloway, Lieutenant Gary Eason, and Deputy Jeanna Wills all received the Distinguished Service Award. Eason, performed CPR last month reviving an unconscious man.

A Certificate of promotion was presented to Lieutenant Corey Nadeau and Sergeant Dennis Abbgy. A Certificate of appreciation was presented to Sergeant Ashton Toner and Ms. Brittany Cook.

Chief Brown was especially proud of their actions. 'Good work is extremely important,' said Chief Brown. 'We try to recognize those men and women again that have distinguished themselves in such a nature that they've met all the qualifications for promotion and we wanted to make sure they got up in front of their peers and their peers could see the good work that they had done.'
