Liberty Co. NAACP branch to host political forum

With the July primary less than a month away, the Liberty County Branch of the NAACP is giving residents a chance to hear local candidates in their own words.
The organization is hosting a political forum for Liberty County Sheriff, Commission District 4, Commission Chair, and Congressional District 1 candidates Friday at 6 p.m. inside the Brewton-Parker College Auditorium.
The purpose of the forum is to give candidates an opportunity to reach out to voters, announce their platforms and answer questions about issues important to their constituency.
To ensure audience participation at the event, attendees will be able to fill-out a "Question for the Candidate" form to be read by panelists at the forum. Residents who are unable to attend can submit questions by e-mailing their query to pr@libertycountynaacp.org. Attendees' questions will be asked as time permits.
The forum is free and open to all citizens as well as candidates in other races.
Brewton-Parker College is located at 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway.
