The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for business leader, business and civic leader of the year awards.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau has collaborated with community leaders in sponsoring Liberty County’s celebration of Georgia Small Business Week, March 18 – March 22.

Small Business Week is celebrated annually and this year the City of Hinesville Mayor Allen Brown signed a Small Business Week proclamation on Thursday March 7, and Liberty County Board of Commissioners Chairman Donald Lovette signed the county Small Business Week proclamation on Thursday, March 5 to kick-off the countywide show of support to our local small businesses.

Each day throughout the week beginning Monday, March 18, local small businesses will be featured in video profiles that will air on the Chamber social media outlets. The Chamber/CVB will be visiting local small businesses to express thanks and support. The community is invited to visit and support our local small businesses throughout the week as well.

On Thursday, March 21 the monthly Progress Through People luncheon will feature Nomsa Hampton the owner of Nosiike-Grace Koffie Co., sponsored by the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority and Hinesville Downtown Merchants Association.

“We are happy to be able to celebrate this week of recognition for our local small businesses once again. As small business makes up the backbone of this country, we are proud to have so many great local entrepreneurs right here in Liberty County,” said Leah Poole, CEO of the Liberty County Chamber/CVB.
