New staff member

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce would like to announce that Shima Henderson has joined their staff. Henderson is the new Communications Coodinator.

Henderson will be responsible for communicating with the media through press releases, posting on Twitter, assisting in the writing of blogs and keeping the website updated with the latest information and events.

Golf classic

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host the 15th Annual Golf Classic presented by Coastal Electric Cooperative on Friday, May 29. There will be cash prizes awarded to those who place in the top three. First place will win $550, second place will win $325 and third place will win $200. CVB joins GHLA

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau has joined the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association.

Members of GHLA receive several benefits including government and legislative representation, training, educational resources, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities and more. This presents as a great resource to the hotels, motels and lodging services that are in Liberty County, especially in times of crisis, like COVID-19 and when lobbying is needed.

“We are excited to join the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association, our affiliation with this organization has already enabled us to be able to get answers faster for our community due to COVID-19,” said LCCOC and LCCVB CEO Leah Poole.
