Liberty-EMA hurricane donation collection deadline extended

The Liberty County Emergency Management Agency  has extended the timeline to turn in donations of supplies for Hurricane Michael victims. Please donate no later than 5 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Hurricane Michael roared through sections of Southwest Georgia as a strong category two storm leaving a trail of destruction in its path.

Folks are in need of water, non-perishable foods, flashlights, batteries, tarps, personal hygiene products and youth and adult diapers.

Drop off supplies from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. now through next Wednesday at the Liberty-EMA office at 100 Liberty Street, Hinesville, GA 31313.

Check in with an EMA Director before leaving supplies.
