Liberty County School System announced Thursday it will let parents know whether student holidays set to run through March 17 will be extended, apparently due to concerns over the coronavirus.

The Liberty County School System has previously planned student holidays scheduled for March 13, 16 and 17, 2020. If the decision is made to close schools for Wednesday, March 18, parents will be notified via Swift K-12 by 5pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. After parents are notified, information will be posted to the district website, to all social media outlets, and press releases will be sent to the news channels.
