Three men and one minor were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home Christmas Day in Long County.
According to Long County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Tom Sollosi, authorities from the LCSO and the Walthourville Police Department responded to a report of a burglary Tuesday at a Walthourville mobile home. According to a witness, the three men and one minor were removing items from the residence.  Sollosi said Sgt. Andy Young arrived at the scene as the group was leaving on foot. Young detained the individuals and, after investigating, arrested all four on charges of burglary. WPD Lt. Wade Long assisted with the arrest.
The three suspects were identified as Ja’Quan Quarterman, Jaylen Quarterman and Jonathan Morgan. The minor’s name was not released.
Sollosi said that a handgun and drugs were recovered in the incident. He also said Morgan and Ja’Quan Quarterman were wanted in a separate case on charges of theft by receiving stolen property.
“These arrests were made after the sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting the incident. While these offenders were apprehended in Walthourville, other burglaries have occurred in the Rye Patch area,” Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles said.
He also said that these burglaries still are under investigation. Anyone with information on them should call the LCSO at 545-2118.
