Self-professed “young admirer” Cato Walthour III, right, stands with state Rep. Al Williams, D-Midway, at the recent Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Heritage Dinner in Atlanta honoring Williams. After being invited, Walthour said he was eager to attend as an opportunity to learn about happenings in the black community. He is getting ready to leave with an international firm to rebuild U.S. Virgin Islands after last year’s hurricanes. The Morehouse and Georgia Tech graduate, who holds two professional engineering licenses, said he was also encouraged as he also met with his cousin, Liberty County Commission Chairman Donald Lovett, at the dinner. Walthour called both men role models.
