Liberty County resident Brynslet Sellers, 2, has undergone heart-transplant surgery, accordingto posts on www.facebook.com/prayers4brynslet.

The Courier has provided periodic updates on Brynslet’s progress as she waited for a heart and community members worked to raise money and awareness to help her family.

According to family members, Brynslet went into surgery Sunday and doctors wrapped up the procedure Monday. Brynslet’s mother, Amanda Sellers, said there were no complications.

The toddler was diagnosed in March with dilated cardiomyopathy.

The Courier will provide a longer update on Brynslet’s recovery in an upcoming edition.
