The Hinesville City Council had a short meeting earlier today with only one action item on the agenda.  Council members voted to approve the appointment of Carlton Solomon, as a resident member of the Hinesville Housing Authority Board. Resident members serve a one year term on the board.

The city has scheduled six budget workshops to review the fiscal year 2016 budget. Hinesville Mayor Jim Thomas said that the workshops are open to the public and invited community members to see in detail the city’s budget. The following dates and times are:

Wednesday, September 2, 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, September 8, 8:30-12:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 10, 8:30-12:30 p.m.

Monday, September 14, 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 16, 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Monday, September 21, 2:00-5:00 p.m.
