The Hinesville City Council met this afternoon and discussed the following business:

Approved the rezoning of a barber shop business on Tarver Street, owned by Charles A. Frasier, Sr. (no relation to Councilman Charles Frasier), to the Downtown Development District. It is currently grandfathered in as a commercial business in a residential area.

The Hinesville Area Arts Council’s upcoming events, the Membership Appreciation Low Country Boil on Oct. 9 and the 12thAnnual Blues, Brews & BBQ event on Sept. 19., were approved for special one-day alcohol permits to serve beer and wine.

The alcohol beverage license at Ruby Tuesday was changed to a new local manager.

And a Hinesville resident talked during the public comment period about the removal of some election signage.
