A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Shaw Road Monday night.

The yet to be identified man was riding near the railroad tracks at Lyman Hall Elementary School. According to Hinesville Police Major Bill Kirkendall, the man was air-lifted to Memorial University Medical Center to be evaluated due to a head injury.

Kirkendall said the accident is still under investigation but the man appeared to be alert while being attended. He said the man’s injury did not appear to be life-threatening.
