Dog-service business gets approved
Libertylogo

Howlin’ Happy K9 Services & Training, a home-based pet business, was approved by the Liberty County Board of Commissioners earlier this evening.

John and Lana Stanley filed an application with the Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission that was met with some opposition from neighbors. Neighbors were concerned about having more dogs in the area, which they said would contribute to excessive barking.

The Stanleys amended their proprosal after hearing their neighbors' concerns. They changed their proposal so that no dogs will be coming to their property. The only services that will take place at their home will be retail sales of dog products, such as collars, and consultations with the dog owner. The owner's pet will not be present at the consultation. Neighbors who originally opposed the plan were not at today's meeting.
