Early voting for the 2016 general election begins Monday. Registered voters must bring their voter’s registration card and a photo ID.

In Liberty County voting is from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Historic Liberty County Courthouse.

In Midway the Liberty County Community Complex will open for early voting as well. Oct. 29 is the only Saturday open for early voting in the county from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at both locations.

Registration to vote for the Nov. 8 election ended Friday, but the NAACP appealed that decision and the deadline was extended to Oct. 18 in Chatham County.
