Road work on Highway 144 will continue until July 31, Fort Stewart spokesman Kevin Larson said.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is paving a little more than 11 miles of Highway 144 East between Evans Army Airfield and the Richmond Hill boundary gate in 4-mile sections that will close one lane.

Flagging stations will be used. Night work will occur. Lanes will not be closed from 6-8 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.
