The Hinesville Area Arts Council has set "Coastal Musings," featuring work by Mia Boyle, as its an exhibit for September at the Gallery.

"One of the most peaceful places on Earth is our coastal waters. I fish, I breathe the salt air, feel the warmth of the sun, smell the marsh," Boyle said. "Painting takes me to the most quiet and personally satisfying space possible. Combining my experiences on the water with my passion for paint, I attempt to convey the peaceful atmosphere through color and brush stroke."

The exhibit will open with a free community reception at the Gallery, at 102 Commerce St., Hinesville, from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. The Gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Coastal Musings runs through the month.
