Highway 144 east road resurfacing began Sunday, continues until July

Road work on Georgia highway 144 that began Sunday night will continue until July 31. Motorists are urged to drive with caution. The Georgia Department of Transportation is paving a little more than 11 miles of highway 144 east between Evans Army Airfield and the Richmond Hill boundary gate in four-mile sections that will close one lane. Flagging stations will be used. Night work will occur. No lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
