The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau is collaborating with community partners and Hinesville city government to host several events during the celebration of Georgia Cities Week from April 22-April 28 in Hinesville.

Georgia Cities Week is celebrated annually to provide a platform to recognize community achievements, volunteers and city employees. It encourages cities to educate citizens about the services they offer that improve quality of life.

Throughout the week there will be events to encourage the community to engage and learn more about what programs and services Hinesville offers.

On April 24, the community is invited to a Sweet Tea Party from 1-3 p.m. in the lobby of Hinesville City Hall, where old photos of the city will be displayed.

The Chamber/CVB will also host a free Social Media Power Hour Workshop from 4-5 p.m. at City Hall April 24.

On April 25, P.C. Simonton and Associates Inc., an engineering firm, will have an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall to present an informal pictorial array of some of their local projects. This event will include a free lunch.

“It is always our pleasure to partner with the city of Hinesville on their Georgia Cities Week activities, and we love seeing our great members like the United Way, PC Simonton and Associates and Keep Liberty Beautiful getting involved as well,” said Leah Poole, CEO of the Liberty County Chamber/CVB.
