Hinesville IT woes continue

The city of Hinesville is still dealing with computer issues and server outages that are keeping it from accepting online payments, job applications and more.
An investigation into what slowed or shut down IT services on Feb. 27 continues, officials said.
City Manager Kenneth Howard said that despite “multiple levels of redundancy to protect against outages of this magnitude,” this is the first time “a problem of this nature has occurred.”
“We are in the process of investigating the problem as well as solutions,” Howard said.
There was no information about possible data loss.
Hinesville municipal services were affected by the outage leaving the city with no access to emails, servers and computers.
The city did have phone services restored.
