Hinesville native Jacquelyn Lovette Burley will serve as the Annual Day speaker for the Rachel Hill Women’s Missionary Society at St. Paul AME Church, 1520 Wolfe St. in Brunswick.

Burley a member of Pleasant Grove AME Church in Hinesville and the Louise J. Stafford Women's Missionary Society.

She began as a member of the Young People’s Division, became the local YPD president and then YPD President of the Georgia Conference, attending her first Quadrennial Convention in New Orleans in 1980.

Burley was drafted into the Women's Missionary Society at age 17. After eight years as conference director, she became the youngest elected conference branch president. A lifelong AME member, Burley was elected at age 35.

On her journey, she has held many positions on all levels and performed numerous jobs. She began first as a servant and student, and God elevated her to positions of leadership. Her spirit and enthusiasm transcends to those around her. The highlight of her membership and missionary journey was becoming a life member in 2000.

All are invited to share in this celebration and witness a mighty move of God.
