A Savannah man was killed Friday morning in a single vehicle accident on Interstate 95 in Liberty County.
According to a report filed by Georgia State Patrol Trooper David Harris, the accident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in the north bound lane near mile marker 77.
Pascal Green drove a 2001 Toyota Corolla off the west shoulder, apparently overcorrected, slid across all three lanes onto the east shoulder, sending the car into a clockwise spin and eventually causing it to go airborne. The vehicle overturned several times, ejecting Greene.
Harris said the car went into the air about nine feet and flew about 37 feet before landing beside a fence. Greene was flown by a medical helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah where he later died of his injuries.
