State Rep. Jeff Jones met with Long County Development Authority Chairman Danny Norman, Sheriff Craig Nobles and School Superintendent Dr. Robert Waters Thursday in Ludowici.

Discussions revolved around funding for a couple of projects.

The Brunswick Republican asked questions for clarification in his quest to help the county buy Federal Communication Commission approved radios to improve communications for county agencies. His District 167 includes Long County.

He also reviewed site plans for the new combination 3rd-8th grade school to possibly help secure additional funding to assist with the road work at the new school.

Waters said, "Representative Jones has always taken the time to listen when called upon, whether in the district or in Atlanta and feels he has a good understanding of the needs of Long County."

Jones said will begin using his connections in Atlanta in hopes of securing extra funds for the projects.
