LCSS remains on alert

The Liberty County School System issued a statement saying it is monitoring the storm and will make decisions regarding school closures by noon Thursday.

"Discussions are ongoing regarding the impact of Hurricane Irma on the operations of the Liberty County School System," Chief Academic Officer Patti Crane said. "District administrators remain in contact with the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency.  A statement regarding any school closures is expected by noon tomorrow.  The latest information will be posted to the Liberty County School System website as well as LCSS social media outlets as information becomes available."
