The parade will be on Dec. 1 in downtown Hinesville.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the 21st annual Illuminated Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 1, in downtown Hinesville.

The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is "Christmas Through the Decades." The theme is meant to be full of nostalgia and fun, characterizing the spirit of Christmas.

"We can’t wait to see all of the creative ideas that people come up with for this year’s theme," said Leah Poole, CEO of the chamber and CVB.

Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs to sit and enjoy the lights, floats and performances. The route will be the same as last year. Spectators can sit in their favorite spots from years past and see the parade. If you have an interest in the specific route be sure to check the Liberty Chamber Facebook for a map coming soon.

The parade has been held in Hinesville for the past 20 years and showcases businesses, groups and organizations from all over the area. This event has previously attracted more than 15,000 spectators and is televised as well as live streamed on WTOC.

Parade entries are due no later than Nov. 24. For more information about the parade or to find the parade registration forms, call the chamber at 912-368-4445 or visit its website at www.libertycounty.org/2017-christmas-events.
