The Liberty County Community and Area Mass Choir will be a part of the festivities at Fort Pulaski National Monument’s Fourth of July celebrations.

The choir will present a patriotic concert, “The Home of the Brave,” at noon Saturday. The musical focuses on historical events with narration that integrates direct quotations from the diaries of Lewis and Clark, the Declaration of Independence and the Oath of Citizenship. In addition, the musical arrangement includes recordings of speeches by generals and presidents.

The choir also will present the concert at 7 that evening in the First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Main St. in Hinesville. It’s free and everyone is welcome.

Other events at Pulaski include a “Blue vs. Gray” baseball game at 2 p.m. Sunday. On Wednesday, there will be musket-firing demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., as well as children’s activities.

The park’s entrance fee is $5 per person, with children ages 15-younger admitted free. The park’s hours are 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
